seven wellness habits to enhance confidence and self-worth.
Drew Barrymore has compiled a list of seven wholesome habits to adopt during moments when she lacks confidence and allure.
The 50-year-old actress has confided in her struggles with self-perception, yet her therapist, Dr. Barry Michels, aided her in developing self-care routines that help her regain her composure.
She shared with People: “Everyone mentioned it would involve trial and error, and I certainly faced numerous setbacks.
Barrymore confessed: “I simply didn’t feel positive about myself.”
Her reliable strategies include adopting a cleaner diet, ensuring sufficient sleep, increasing physical activity, and awakening earlier to alleviate the morning chaos with her children.
“Whenever I find myself feeling this way, I remind myself, ‘Alright, commit: eat healthier, focus on rest, amp up my workouts a bit and just realign yourself.’
To explain her approach, she stated: “My therapist and guide, Dr. Barry Michels, supported me in drafting a list of seven beneficial habits tailored for me, and I simply revert to that list.
“It has faded with time, and I retrace it with a black pen to ensure it’s legible as it provides guidance.”
She added: “Remaining stagnant and not feeling confident, attractive, or good about yourself isn’t beneficial. These are just small actions you can take.”
The Drew Barrymore Show host – who has daughters Olive, 13, and Frankie, 11, from her previous marriage to Will Kopelman – consistently feels more self-assured when she rises 10 minutes earlier.
She noted: “I purchased a small walking pad that I tucked under my couch, so now when I eat on the couch, I utilize the walking pad for 10 minutes while enjoying my show. I also began waking up 10 minutes earlier because I always felt that the final 10 minutes of getting my kids ready for school were complete chaos.
“I thought, ‘You can remain trapped in this frustrating routine, or you can change it by doing everything 10 minutes earlier and see how it feels.’ It’s not flawless yet, but it’s an improvement. Honestly, I should rise 10 minutes sooner.”
