Eating this common food makes you weaker

According to a study  published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, some good foods can have negative health effects, raising alarm among people who prefer to eat highly . processed foods.

Another study published in the British Medical Journal found that about 60% of Americans' energy sources come from highly processed foods.

These products include snacks, sodas, pasta, and ready-to-eat meals, as well as products that contain a large number of undetectable ingredients and preservatives, Newsweek reported.

The  study  also found that it makes people weak and frail.  It is a condition that affects about 15% of U.S. adults aged 65 and older and is associated with reduced responsiveness and adaptability to activity and injury, reduced muscle strength, increased vulnerability to stressors, and a variety of other physical changes. physical changes.

The study, led by Theresa Phan of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, found that "finally, processed food [daily intake] is directly related to frailty risk," the researchers wrote.  . "We found that daily intake of artificial and sugar-sweetened beverages, fats, spreads and condiments, yogurt and dairy-based desserts, and other highly processed foods increased the risk of frailty frailty."

"Our study highlights the significant influence of diet on the risk of frailty  in older women," the researchers wrote.

"This suggests that  not only what we eat, but also the level of food processing  may play an important role in aging and physical performance." READ MORE
